Despite all the exciting red and green appearing with First in Leeds, there is still a last bit of Barbie flitting around also.

First West Yorkshire 66337 (MV02 VCM), new to the Manchester fleet for use at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, is one of two Barbie-liveried vehicles seen in action today, and looking very tidy for a 16 year old.

Leeds, Headrow, taken and posted 08/05/2018.

"Ftr" was supposed to be text-speak for the word "future", but it's struck me that I've never actually heard anybody from First or anybody else in the know actually confirm verbally how this obtuse piece of marketing is supposed to be pronounced in regular conversation. Is it "future"? Is it "F.T.R"? Or is it (and here I keep getting a mental picture of Moir Lockhead, or similar, at some press launch or other, waffling on about this revolutionary initiative and sounding like someone with a broken nose and a mouthful of marbles) just "ftrrr"..?

First West Yorkshire 19019 (YJ07 LVL), Leeds, Headrow, 09/04/2015.
