Leon Haslam, aboard his Honda CBR1000RR, making Marco Melandri and his Aprilia RSV4 1000 work hard for their supper during today's UK leg of the World Superbike Series at Donnington Park. What promised to be a wet and dismal day when we left home at 7.45 turned into an almost perfect day for bike racing. Talking to my good lady, I reckon this is the first time I've been to a bike race in more than 15 years. Not many names that I recognised (obviously, Leon's dad was one of my heroes, And Melandri was still a teenager, just breaking into the big time) but I thoroughly enjoyed it!
