The Newcastle & Gateshead Quays has to be one of my all-time favourite places to photograph. It's a pity that it's 150 miles away! Here are the first two shots from the next series from our visit to the Northeast at the end of August. The first is actually a stitch of five HDR triplets (15 images in all), taken with the Eos 5DII and nailed together in CS6.

Whilst messing around with last month's pics of the Tyne Bridges, I decided to re-visit a series that I shot back in May 2008 when corporate entertainment was still politically correct. I was invited on a cruise up the river, from Port of Tyne (South Shields) to the Millennium Bridge, to celebrate the opening of the new "Riverside Quay" at the port. The tall ship "Atlantis" sailed right up to the Millennium Bridge before turning in mid stream and heading back to the port. This is a stitch of five images, taken with the Canon Ixus 960, from the bow of the ship. A quite amazing day!
