I tried something different with this shot, choosing to light the interior of the canyon while leaving its outer walls underexposed.

Welcome to the newly designed ShutterRunner.com! I would like to thank Jaclyn Christie for her amazing work on the brand new website re-design.
In addition to the new look and feel, I have also added a ton of content to the website, including an Introduction to Learning Photography Video a Guide to Composition, along with a video demonstrating my use of said guide, and a Comprehensive Guide to Understanding the Exposure Triangle. I hope that you find the new content useful, and I plan on steering this website a bit more in the direction of teaching.
Here is a black and white edit of a photo that I took at Graceland Cemetery. For most of these photos from Graceland, I tried looking up the deceased of the burial site that I photographed, unfortunately, I couldn't find much about Hedwig Engel, so I will leave you with this quote instead:
"The fear of death follows from the fear of life.
A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. "
