The Cinema Dore is one of the cinematographic premises of Madrid, and was born like the premises for diverse social activities of leisure: what then was called "a hall".
In its present location of the street Santa Isabel 3, in the district of Antón Martin, the hall Doré is inaugurated the 19 December of 1912. It had capacity for 1,250 spectators and it was compound of ground floor and two floors, garden and hall smoker.
But it is in 1923 when the present Cinema Doré is constructed. The project dated from 1922, and the planes were signed by architect Crispulo Moro Cabeza, under promotion of the industrialist Arturo Carballo Alemany. In the construction of Doré also took part the teacher Francisco Garriga, specialist in the manufacture of furniture. The construction license is of the 17 October of 1922. The modernist style that was adopted for Doré was the habitual one in the cinematographs of century beginnings and was coherent with the architecture that was being made in those days in Madrid.
The projection took place with the interpretation of the musical themes by an orchestra and choirs. Between its main interpreters they appeared well-known artists of those years, like Maria Caballé, Rosita Rodrigo, Eva Stachino, “Ramper” and Miguel Ligero.

El Cine Doré es uno de los locales cinematográficos de Madrid, y nació como un local para diversas actividades sociales de ocio: lo que entonces se llamaba "un salón".
En su actual emplazamiento de la calle Santa Isabel, 3, en el barrio de Antón Martín, se inaugura el 19 de diciembre de 1912 el salón Doré. Tenía capacidad para 1.250 espectadores y estaba compuesto de planta baja y dos pisos, jardín y salón fumador.
Pero es en 1923 cuando se construye el actual Cine Doré. El proyecto databa de 1922, y los planos estaban firmados por el arquitecto Críspulo Moro Cabeza, bajo promoción del industrial Arturo Carballo Alemany. En la construcción del Doré también intervino el maestro Francisco Garriga, especialista en la fabricación de muebles. La licencia de construcción es del 17 de octubre de 1922. El estilo modernista que se adoptó para el Doré era el habitual en los cinematógrafos de principios de siglo y era coherente con la arquitectura que se estaba realizando entonces en Madrid.
La proyección se efectuaba con la interpretación de los temas musicales por una orquesta y unos coros. Entre sus principales intérpretes figuraban conocidos artistas de aquellos años, como María Caballé, Rosita Rodrigo, Eva Stachino, "Ramper" y Miguel Ligero.
