A macro photo of the single hottest coal piece in a blacksmith's fire, some 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a blacksmith's fire during the weekend from a reenactment of 1774 life in Fort Harrod, one of Kentucky's first settlements.

The droplets on my car window at the car wash show the sky and me.
I think these droplets are a combination of wax, soap and water.

The yeast in the tubs of mash at Maker's Mark create fermentation, which is the beginning of the bourbon making process. Bourbon distillers say that each yeast culture is unique, which gives each bourbon its particular taste. The yeast are creating yellow bubbles and alcohol.

This is my lunch. The businessman in me is amazed at the distribution system that makes this possible. Here is fresh sashimi (raw yellow fin tuna) shipped into a rural supermarket in Central Kentucky.

This was a small 8 ounce souvenir coke bottle that I was given a while back ago as I exited the World of Coca-cola attraction in Atlanta, Georgia. I finally found a use for it. I cleaned up a small facial mirror and put the coke bottle on top for this macro photograph.
