I went out to find the Aurora since there was a red alert on Aurora watch, this was the only open sky in the Southwest direction. Due North was pure white clouds:(

Unfortunately not as focused as I like.
I have some pointers for those who asked: 1)Find a safe location I had found this spot the night before. 2) set at ISO 1000 or higher. 3) very important Focus on infinity or a distant light first then turn off the auto focus, shoot depending on the brightness of the event 1 second up to 15 seconds. 4) Get away from the big city lights this is North of Calgary west of Airdrie 5) this shot is wide open 2.8 6)I forgot to add: tripod and cable release www.aurorawatch.ca/
