The KP 6-8 but mother Nature was teasing us in Calgary we were under heavy cloud and Brett and I had to drive for 2.5 hours to see the stars. This was at our first location. After reviewing my shots this was the most colorful aurora I have seen in the current cycle June 8th 2014 was a close second

Looking south away from the aurora there was abundant purple and green even the snow is green.
note Orion's belt and the bright streak, though it looks like a meteor it is probably a satellite.

After driving to Rocky Mountain House and taking the first aurora series in the farm field we noted the clouds encroaching and drove 10 miles to a new location. Brett found this stream and the ambient light was coming from an oilfield battery/station. note Brett's lighting of the fence HFF!
