This is an abstract, acrylic painting done in collaboration with Angelique Hellriegel. Angelique wrote the following poem and asked me to do a painting for it:

Addict?

It suffocates your mind,
body, and soul.

It breaks the hearts
that surround you.

Look away, hide you;
you love them for that.

Stop it, admit it;
those you hate.

It forbids you
to face life’s fears.

It keeps you paralyzed
in a disorganized place.

Beg little doggie,
It taunts your soul.

That’s how it survives;
and you don’t.
