You won't see one of these anymore. Airborne Express was bought by DHL, so the old silver A.E. vans are now bright yellow and red DHL vans.

I took this picture because Robinsons-May was purchased by the parent of Macy's, which will be turning these stores into Macy's or closing them. Since there is already a Macy's here at the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego, I don't know what the universe holds for this store. Robinsons-May itself was a combination of the old Robinson's and May Co. department stores.

Unocal, formerly known as Union Oil of California, was just purchased by Chevron-Texaco. I believe that the plan is to rebrand all Unocal stations into Chevron stations, so the big orange ball that is an icon of California (and millions of car antennaes) will soon be gone.
