I have only found Blue Corporal twice before in Howard County. This was quite a surprise Ode!

It's been a tough spring for me with Odes. It's been cloudy and raining on most of my days off. The Blue Corporals were active for a little while when the sun made an appearance.

Until this year I had only seen Blue Corporals in one location. Today I found a single male at Waterford. Later in the afternoon I found a pair at Fox Chase. The female flew in to oviposit with a male in attendance. In a second they were gone.

This Little Corporal was determined to catch a ride on my shoulder. It did enjoy my net as well. They seem to be lingering later than usual this season.
