I normally would not keep such an awful picture but I am so curious what this Skink has in its mouth. I saw it run across the road and take this blue ball in the crack. At first I thought it was a berry, then a growth of some sort? I have no idea?

When I visit Patuxent now I always check on my friendly Fence Lizards. I see at least one almost every time. I am hoping that they will have youngsters one of these days.
