I've been checking my spider a number of times in the early morning. She seems to lose her bolas on occasion. Either she swings and misses or just makes a new one. I noticed she didn't have one and was crawling on the leaf. 15 minutes later she made a new one. I had no idea she did it so fast! I didn't have time to go back in and get my other cameras.

My beautiful Bolas wrapping a moth seconds after capture. I was watching from about 10 feet away...saw her get the moth and ran to start filming. I miss her :(

Wasn't sure what this behavior means....I looked very carefully for males but she was alone.

Thank goodness my "night owl" husband got me up at 1:30 when he saw she had her Bolas. I watched her for about an hour and a half.....did not have a moth come close for her to swing at....but she had a moth in the morning. I watched her from about 1:30-3. I was a little worried I might be preventing her from hunting so I went to bed.

The first time I have ever seen one with prey!!! She was quite small so I will be checking on her often. A little higher in the tree than I usually find them.
