We walked down to the Murray among the Red Gums to an old landing site.
Few old camps amongst the trees and some nice walks.
Some new land clearing from the road down to within a couple of 100 m of the river, huge new shed for a possible orchard or new vineyard.

Walked down town past many grey nomads shopping or enjoying coffee.
Bought a 1988 Tall Ships book in an op shop then found this lovely butchers shop. No sawdust on the floor, but they remember when they did, and a customer also remembered those days when we used to make roads in the pine sawdust as Mum bought the meat!
We left camp with the trailer tailgate down!!! A seniors moment! A following motorist tooted us.
A long drive past the harvested cotton fields to Balranald and our first fruit quarantine bin. They have abandoned fruit inspections due to economic efficiency dividends, now the farmer have to police it!!!

The NBN has not reached the outback yet! Even Telstra is not in all the towns we have visited. Our only communication has been by sat. phone until now at Blackall in SW Qld.
