I came across this scene while exploring British Columbia's Chilcotin Plateau back roads. The cabin seemed pretty in tacked except the roof was missing and it's about 40 km from civilization. After looking around a bit I wondered if the burnt and charred tree trunk had been hit by lighting. There was signs of a fire ring near by suggesting that someone may have cut some of the tree for fire wood while camping in the area. I shot this with my Nikon D850 and a vintage Nikon Series E 50mm F1.8 lens, aperture was f16. In our Chilcotin adventure we stayed at the Historic Chilcotin Lodge.
