This shot, with the gate towers looking as high as the Peace Tower, reminds me oddly of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

There was a free Canada Day concert featuring Montreal singer Sam Roberts (who shares my exact birthday, October 2nd, 1974), among others.

But I didn't stick around for the concert. I only wanted photos of Parliament surrounded by crowds.
