Here's the carrot-coloured Chevy Camaro convertible concept car being driven by General Motors CEO Richard Wagoner Jr. pulling into the General motors showcase in the parking lot of the Athens Coney Island diner in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak during the 2007 Woodward Dream Cruise.

I thought this would be an excellent shot with which to commemorate my 2000th image posted at Flickr. I'd like to thank all of my contacts, as well as my sister, Alison, for having bought me the Flickr Pro account for Christmas last year, and GM Blogs (especially Alicia) for have given me the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend an event like the Woodward Dream Cruise as their special guest, and, especially, everyone who has given my photostream over 108,000 views over the past year and a half (even if 3/4ths of those views were probably just random hits from Google).

From here, I'll go onward to 3000 images and beyond!

Here's a blue 1968 Chevy Camaro SS (with one of its much younger Camaro brothers in the background) on Woodward Avenue in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak during the 2007 Woodward Dream Cruise.

I always thought that the RS version of the classic Camaro looked "blind" because its headlights (eyes) are hidden behind hinged doors that are camouflaged as part of the grille.

This photo was taken with my Nikon F65 SLR film camera using Kodak 400 film and my zoom lens (because, sadly, my standard medium 28mm to 70mm lens somehow fell apart during my Detroit trip).

Here I am in the parking lot of the Athens Coney Island diner in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak (or is it Birmingham? The map says "Birmingham", but the police cars said "Royal Oak") during the Friday of the Woodward Dream Cruise at a media-only event unveiling the Chevy Camaro convertible, which is only a concept car for now, but it may enter production a year or so after the hardtop goes on sale.

Those of us who attended the blogger junket courtesy of GM Blogs got a chance to have our photo taken at the wheel of the car.
