My biggest disappointment of this year's Autoshow was that the website advertised that the 600+ horsepower Porsche Carrera GT supercar would be on display, but it was nowhere to be seen. But the happy "smile" of the Carrera 4S kept my spirits high.

A 2008 Cadillac CTS on display at the Ottawa-Gatineau Autoshow.
On this one, the flash accidentally went off. I generally prefer not to have the flash go off, because I prefer capturing ambient light, and also, more practically, I want to have the rechargeable batteries in my camera last as long as possible for these events, because, while I had a spare pare of alkaline batteries in my pocket, even alkalines don't last nearly as long in my camera as rechargeables do because rechargeables produce a much steadier rate of power. Anyhow, I took another shot from the same angle, but found I actually preferred the flash shot because of the shorter shutter time, increasing the contrast and making the reflected ceiling lights look like glittering jewels.
