At the General Motors display in the parking lot of the Athens Coney Island diner in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak during the Woodward Dream Cruise, possibly the highlight for many people was the presence of the four General Motors vehicles used as the vehicular forms of several of the most prominent Autobots.

From what I understand, under the Chevy Camaro shell, Bumblebee was actually built on the chassis of a modern Pontiac GTO.

The main focus at the Woodward Dream Cruise is on classic American cars, especially those of the Forties through the early Seventies, but some people were showing off their modern exotics, like this Ferrari Enzo (or "Enzo Ferrari", for those of you nitpickers), which is quite possibly the rarest Ferrari that I've had the opportunity to photo in person thus far, with only 400 units made worldwide.

These two photos take one big notch off my personal list of unphotographed Ferraris, and, on a more geeky personal note, it was the only Ferrari that I own a 1/24th scale Maisto Assembly Line model of that I had yet to photograph until I spotted this one on Woodward Avenue in the Detroit suburb of Birmingham.

February 1st, 2008: This Enzo has now been immortalized in Crayola Crayon.

Here I am in the parking lot of the Athens Coney Island diner in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak (or is it Birmingham? The map says "Birmingham", but the police cars said "Royal Oak") during the Friday of the Woodward Dream Cruise at a media-only event unveiling the Chevy Camaro convertible, which is only a concept car for now, but it may enter production a year or so after the hardtop goes on sale.

Those of us who attended the blogger junket courtesy of GM Blogs got a chance to have our photo taken at the wheel of the car.

Here's a Royal Oak Chevrolet Corvette C6 convertible police car parked on Buckingham Road near Woodward Avenue during the 2007 Woodward Dream Cruise.

Somehow I don't think this car is in regular service as a police car, I think this is a special vehicle for events like the Dream Cruise.
