I already knew there was a Ferrari F40, this example being from 1990, in Ottawa as, one afternoon in October 2016, I saw it from the bus waiting at a traffic light on Meadowlands Drive as the F40 was being driven up Fisher Avenue. Unfortunately, while I did have a camera on me, I didn't have enough time to pull it out before the F40 crossed Meadowlands and was no longer visible from my side of the bus.
I was hoping the F40 would show up at Ottawa Ferrari Festival in 2017 but, if it showed up at all, it wasn't there when I was taking photos of the cars on display on the Friday evening.
Luckily for me, at Ottawa Ferrari Fest 2018, the F40 did, at last, make an appearance (along with a number of other expensive Ferrari and non-Ferrari supercars that I also hadn't seen before at the event). I took a bunch of pictures on Friday night, but the F40 was entirely in shadow so I wasn't completely satisfied with my shots, so I returned to the same alley just off Preston Street on Saturday and was able to get shots of it completely bathed in late afternoon sunlight, though I waited around until it left so I could also get a few shots of the orange and red taililghts on that black rear panel, the most distinctive visual feature of the F40 as far as I am concerned.
