There was mist drifting through the trees and the ice was forming across all the small bodies of water in Paradise Meadows and this little pond on the hike to Lake Helen Mackenzie. It was very still so I tried a few HD shots. I cropped some of the ice out of this one but no tweaking of colors or contrast. The colours of the grass in the light were breathtaking!

Olympus High Definition, unedited of these golden grasses against the blue of newly forming ice. The light was coming in low over Strata Mountain about an hour before sunset. I could see my breath and it was so quiet I could hear the high tinkle of ice crystals shifting somewhere.
