Volvo B9TL / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 number 330 (SN50 BFL) is the third colour branded bus for Service 22 to be repainted, joining 332 and 333, and is seen at Marine depot about to return to service following it's vinyl additions at Seafield Engineering Works nearby.

Twenty-nine Gemini's are branded for Service 26 (301 to 329) with a red topping and these, and the pink group for the 22, will make it easier for the travelling public to identify their bus from a distance.

Three different types of Lothian stock are seen at the Balmoral Hotel in Princes Street under the Union Jack and Scottish Saltire.

In the foreground newly repainted Volvo B9TL, Wright Eclipse Gemini 2, number 331 (SN59 BFM), new in 2009, is being overtaken by Denis Dart / Plaxton Pointer number 83 (SK52 OKD) with a Dennis Trident / Plaxton President number 613 (SN51 AXW) at the rear.

Nice to see the Dart on Service 43, which normally employs Urban Eclipses most strictly.

Following the repainting of 301 to 329 with red tops for use on Service 26, here's the first in the same design for Service 22. The former pink (used with Harlequin) is retained but much more clear lined and stylish with the madder red accompaniment. It seems you could almost put any colour with our traditional livery of over 100 years and this looks...yeah not bad I'd say!

Volvo B9TL / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2, number 332 ( SN59 BFO) will normally operate on Service 22 and there will be twenty-one vehicles assigned to this route (330 to 350) between Ocean Terminal and the Gyle Centre, near to Edinburgh Airport.

In Edinburgh's financial heartland, at the start of the Western Approach Road near to Lothian Road, Volvo B9TL / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2, number 333 (SN59 BFP) shows off its new coat of paint with the shine extending all the way to the glass building beside it!

Twenty one buses will wear this pink top colour branding assigned to Service 22 (numbers 330 to 350) in order to identify the service more easily.

I have a little difficulty sometimes deciding whether I'm seeing a red top or a pink top coming towards me in Princes Street! And I wouldn't take for granted the colour topping being the bus you want - they are wandering on to other routes now and again!

All set to return through town and out to the Gyle Centre the 19.27 gets its lights and engine switched on with a few passengers ready for the journey ahead.

This is newly repainted B9TL Volvo / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2, number 334 (SN59 BFU) with its new identification colour branding for Service 22, one of twenty one buses that will wear this livery, numbers 330 to 350.
