Isn't it romantic? What could be more perfect than a beautiful sunset here in Paris?
There was a big storm all day long, but I could see the clouds were beginning to break up a little to the west, and I knew there was a possibility the sun would dip into an opening beneath the heavy clouds. So, with that intense possibility, I headed over to the Eiffel Tower area hoping the light would turn out right...
I also made a behind-the-scenes video. Since you guys have been so nice over on Google+, I'll share that video exclusively there first, so be sure to stay tuned... I'm still editing the thing together!

The museum of natural history in Paris is a great place to visit that hardly anyone knows about! The displays are incredible, and if you are into science, you could easily spend the whole day here. It's great for kids and adults. It's especially great if you're also into photography!

This is a dangerous spot! But so pretty...
It was a cool night in Paris. It was a bit damp too, as if it might rain at any moment. So that kept me moving from spot to spot pretty quickly. I was secretly hoping for a bit of rain... Europe at night in a light rain is always kind of charming. I'm pretty sure that locals don't find it charming... just annoying.
Trey's Tip: Go ahead and get several long exposures. It's a bit like shooting a spinning ferris wheel - you never quite know what you will get until you check it out later that night when reviewing your work.

Nimes has some very well preserved Roman ruins. There is a huge park area that has stone walkways over ancient Roman waterways and this colosseum structure in the middle of town.
One of the coolest things about this colosseum is that it is still used on a regular basis! When we were there, they were having a bullfight inside the arena. I have some pictures of the aftermath, including trails of blood in the sand...

Trey's Tip: The best time to shoot is when there is dusk light and artificial light. There is usually only a 30-minute or 60-minute overlap, so you certainly need to plan ahead.

This is a very tiny chapel in Sainte-Chapelle is definitely worth a visit! It is very close to Notre Dame, and there is usually a line of people out front in the middle of the day. Just above this church is another famous stained glass portion of Sainte-Chapelle. They are part of the same area, so you'll get a chance to see both.
