There are so many waterfalls in Iceland that I could not hope to see them all. It's a great goal… I remember going into the fjords area in the North East and thinking, “I'm going to see every waterfall!” It turns out I had the enthusiasm, but then after I realized there were thousands, I pretty much wrote off that promise. But, I did see a few pretty ones for sure, like this one.

That was, by far, the dumbest name I have ever given to any of my photos. But there's no need to be overly erudite when naming photos, eh? Seeing this makes me really want to back and frolic with the Icelandic horse even more. They are so magical looking… they all walk around in slow motion with their hair blowing in the breeze, like they are in some kind of horse-shampoo and conditioner commercial

I have not been to Iceland in about four years, but I've had many photographers tell me it's gotten very touristy. I kind of believe that and I kind of don't. The thing is that Iceland is so big, and most of the best places are not even places tourists would know. Go out around the fjords and get lost. There is so much coastline and water and mountains! If you go off on some nice hikes and walks by yourself, you won't see another human in ages.
