Hiking to Devil’s thumb is one of the best hikes in Banff. It is combined the popular viewpoints in the Lake Louise Area: Tea house, Big Beehive, Devil’s thumb, Plain of Six Glacier. The photo was taken while approaching Devil’s thumb, you could see the six glaciers. On the right top, you can see the glacier normally seen from Lake Louise.
Parking at Lake Louise is $36.75 per vehicle per day. The parking lots will fill up early in the morning (usually by 7am or so). We had to go around, got in at the third run by lucky.

A beautiful migratory bird with an intricate pattern on the body and much sought after by birders and bird photographers. They are remarkable for their pretty long beak and disappearing so easily in the fields and grass. The birds tend to stick to the ground in grass maybe around half a foot tall - and when they are spotted - they just disappear.
These are migratory birds from Europe and winter here in South India. The birds are found on the edges of lakes, rivers and small ponds - usually in swampy muddy areas that are difficult to trudge. So we wait patiently for them to fly or do some action. This was shot in paddyfields y'day when a harrier was slowly flying around the birds moved around - the ground was wet with the rains and turned into swampy mud area. There were around 5-6 of them shifting places when I shot this.
