A view from an airplane window (of course) of Downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn flying over the World Trade Center Site-- I'm surprised they let airliners fly this route. World Trade Center construction is in the bottom center of the photo, the Brooklyn Bridge is the nearest bridge, then the Manhattan Bridge and in the upper center of the photo is the Williamsburg Bridge. A bright Sunday in the late afternoon, flying in from Cleveland (see the picture below for downtown Cleveland).


Because this is a panorama (four photographs out the plane window shot in rapid succession) it looks much better in the largest of the large sizes.
Also because it is a panorama the Supreme Court building and Municipal building are at odd, bent angles.

Nature's beauty is fleeting. I returned a few years later to see if I could shoot this location from a different angle -- Some of the trees had died, including the red one in the foreground.

This is a real grave in the Hartsdale Pet Cemetery-- unphotoshopped except to zoom in and lighten it up a bit. I can't imagine who would name a dog or cat that.

I saw this while out walking-- it won't be long before the tree swallows the whole sign.

Unfortunately, the tree was taken down about two years later.
