During July 1977, South Yorkshire PTE borrowed a left hand drive articulated bus from Leyland Truck & Bus. A DAB-Leyland SLG550-25 built in Denmark, it spent a day or two giving free rides from Sheffield Central Bus Station, running on trade plates 2474 B.

3000 is a Leyland PD3 rebuilt by Northern General to a normal control layout in order to bring the driver alongside the door for one man operation. Subsequently a less drastic modification was carried out on Routemaster 3069, but neither conversion was particularly successful.

Seen at the MASS depot at Anston are two former SYPTE/SYT/Mainline Dennis Dominators, both with Alexander RH type bodywork.

KKW 114W was new in 1981 as SYPTE 2114, and had run for Northern Bus prior to MASS.

NKU 217X was new in 1982 as SYPTE 2217.
