Road Car 439 leaves Lincoln Bus Station on Service 601 to Grantham. A Leyland Tiger TRCTL11/3RZ with Plaxton Paramount 3200 coachwork, it was new in 1986 as Road Car 1418 registered C418 VDO. It was transferred to Yorkshire Traction in 1988 where it was reregistered YTC 49. It returned to Road Car in 1995 as fleet no. 440 and was reregistered MSV 922, then as shown.

After withdrawal by Road Car, it passed to Ellie Rose, Hull.

Seen entering Newark Bus Station, Road Car 440 is a Leyland Tiger TRCTL11/3RZ with Plaxton Paramount 3200 coachwork. New in 1986 as Road Car 1419 registered C419 VDO, it was transferred to Yorkshire Traction in 1988 where it was reregistered 1737 HE. It returned to Road Car in 1995 as fleet no. 440 and was reregistered as shown.

After withdrawal it would revert to C419 VDO and join the fleet of Ellie Rose, Hull.

It was new in 1997 as a National Expressliner with Cheltenham District (no.551), registered R551 JDF, becoming 52451 in the Stagecoach group numbering, and later being used by United Counties on Service X5 between Oxford and Cambridge.

Ellie Rose Travel HFU 531 is a Volvo Olympian YN2RC16V3 with Alexander bodywork. It was new as GM South 704 in 1996, registered N328 NPN (diverted from Stagecoach South). It later became Stagecoach North West 16328 before acquisition by Ellie Rose in 2012.
