macys opened as an original anchor at the island village-themed Del Monte Shopping Center in 1967 in Monterey, California. Despite a newer logo, this giant is still impressively outfitted in its original, empirical and grandiose square mold from 51 years ago, complete with a wood-slatted awning, adorned with distinctively era mod patterns.
