On Tuesday June 17, 2020, the city of Adrian had assessed the Kohan-owned mall was in violation of countless ordinances and had been condemned, unfit for foot traffic.
The future for the 50-year old, crumbling mall doesn't seem bright.
Though condemned does not mean closed for good, Kohan's sour record on maintenance down to keeping lights on at its various retail properties is no secret.
Adrian Mall could re-open following ownership compliance to the list violations.
Currently, the mall has only a few retailers left including GNC, Bath & Body Works. Dunham's Sports no longer opens to the mall itself.
