Escalator To/From Monorail Passage at Disney's Contemporary Resort in 2007

This memorable corner of the Contemporary Resort takes guests to the monorail platform from the shopping and dining concourse and one of the last original slices of the fanciful, dated decor of earthy planter beds and foilage had finally been removed entirely in 2008.

Today, this area which has since been completely overhauled; planters removed, retiled and sterilized in bleachtones. Now, it's a nameless area, wide-open as a monorail security checkpoint.

A dark and dismally-lit sundries shop at Disney's Contemporary concourse. The elephant-earring lamps and walls are carried over, mostly from the original 1971 resort as is this small shop in the corner.

Originally known as The Spirit World, was later Concourse Sundries + Spirits apart of a 1986 concourse remodel.
