A parting shot of the Toys Я Us at Swansea Mall Drive in Swansea, MA. Opening in 1982 apart of Swansea Mall's outer anchorage, this long-time store fell fate to the ugly remodeling brigade in its half-life, with evident, cheap remodeling shortcuts taken to modernize an otherwise vintage store. While its roof has been redone and stripes painted white, the store was never modified to include a Babies Я Us.

This location is expected to close in just a few weeks after 37 years.

Toys 'R' Us-Kids 'R' Us in Springfield was among the early stores opening in late 1981, across from the Eastfield Mall. The store reflected here mimicks the rolled out 1992-era look. Kids "R" Us eventually retired and the store remodeled again to include Babies 'R' Us around 2010.

A notable Kids 'R' Us was once located shortly down the road, still occupied by Namco.
