Six-image handheld focus stack of a living, and quite lively, individual. I've had him as a "pet" for a few weeks, and am just getting around to taking a few photos of him before releasing him back into my garden. (Phidippus audax, adult male)

When I first saw these small, fast beetles running along the sand, I thought they were tiger beetles, but a closer look showed that they were non-tiger-beetle Carabids of some kind.
