A mile long narrow canyon provides the meandering path into Petra. This is the first glimpse of Petra as seen though the canyon walls.

My son in the picture and I went back to Petra a second day early in the morning to try and get better light and fewer people in the pictures. We were so early even the Bedouin vendors did not show up for several hours!
