Project Tiffy is making good progress. I have all the mechanical parts placed and functioning in this photo, and I am happy with the results. It took some time, but I found a solution that works well for the rudder/pedal connection. All in all the controls are much lighter than they were for my Spitfire.
Structurally, there still is a lot of work to be done, but I'll get there.

A large scale working model of the Hawker Typhoon Mk 1b. Finished just in time for Brickworld 2014. The model has power functions to power the 24 cylinder engine and prop, and a motor for the propeller pitch. Another motor drives the landing gear, and another still for the flaps. Manual features include the elevator and ailerons from the joystick, and the rudder is controlled by the foot pedals.

Thirdwigg Jr. is taking a lot of my time these days, but the Typhoon is moving along. Most parts are in their final places, and now the landing gear will hold the plane (Victory!). Now that the hard stuff is done, the project should move quicker. Also, the invasion stripes look awesome.
