Sometimes photography is just about being at the right place at the right time. I didn't plan to take this picture at all. I was just driving home after I already took some pictures, when the sky suddenly turned pink. I stopped the car immediately, got out and took a couple of shots. I was just in time, because 2 minutes later the pink sky was completely gone. I already posted a similar shot a few days ago but I thought this sunset was so beautiful it deserved another exposure. Besides that, the colors are very Flickr-ish.
What I like most on this photo isn't the colors but the people on the foreground. If you look closely they are communicating with each other, they are not skating.
Note: these are the real colors as spotted that day, no PS enhancements needed. Well, only a few basic corrections.

This was the view I had when driving to the office on Friday morning. The light was golden and very bright - I had to use my sunglasses- , the sky pink, purple, white and blue. There is very few to see: some houses, a flock of birds and an endless horizon. And it was cold, very cold.

I took this shot right after the last rays of sunlight have disappeared. I don't know exactly where I took this shot. I asked a little boy who was playing out there where the heck I was and he told me twice but I totally forgot. Only thing I remember is that I found myself in a very small village with a very long name, a lot of dogshit because my expensive shoes were all over it , a ditch and a beautiful tree. At the horizon I could see the exhaust fumes of nearby industry.

'If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern."
- Aldous Huxley - The Doors of Perception
Aldous Huxley took this title from William Blake's "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell" the famous English poet and printmaker.
The Doors named theirselves after this title.
