Part III of the Void series.
Shot with a telephoto lens with a wide aperture at dusk at the Oosterscheldekering.
It is the largest of the 13 ambitious Delta works series of dams, designed to protect the Netherlands from flooding. The construction of the Delta Works was in response to the North_Sea_Flood_of_1953 during which 1,835 people were killed in the Netherlands.
I can tell you there was a hard wind and high tide when I took this shot. Huge waves wetting my camera gear and there was a strange atmosphere out there. Something eery about that place where the sea unveiled its majestic power to me.
