Amazon is a 102-foot (31 m) long screw schooner ex-steam yacht built in 1885 at the private Arrow Yard of Tankerville Chamberlayne in Southampton.
Designer Dixon Kemp intended her to be 'fast and a good seaboat' and her successful sea trials were recorded in the several editions of his definitive Yacht Architecture (First Edition published in 1885).
In 2011, Amazon was listed as one of the world's Top 40 Classic Yachts and was the oldest vessel honoured

The Catherine has been converted into a prestigious houseboat and is currently being restored at Underfall yard, Bristol
The Catherine was built to transport tar from William Butler and Company at Crew's Hole before being purchased by road racing cyclist Ron Jowers in the 1960s.
Mr Jowers, who raced between 1955 and 1961, turned it into a two-deck home and had it moored up near Temple Meads and the Tobacco Factory.
