My first attempt at cave photography. This image was taken in the "big room" in Carlsbad Cavern, the main attraction in in Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The big room is approximately 8.2 acres in size...absolutely phenomenal.

Just outside the town of Terrebonne in central Oregon, the Crooked River meanders through an extraordinary geological area, Smith Rock State Park. The spires, bluffs and cliffs seem to have been plucked out of Utah. The park is a world renowned rock climbing mecca and has miles of hiking trails. Spectacular scenery!
