These two Rio Grande Tom Turkey's were teamed up to chase away two other Tom's that were trying to move in on a large group of hens. No altercation ensued as the would be invaders made a hasty retreat. Great fun to observe. Taken in Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Best viewed large.

This Rio Grande Tom Turkey puts on his best display while completely surrounding by hens. The breeding season was in full swing in southern New Mexico where we found this guy and the loves of his life.
