Thanks to Charotte Norton we found this little owl in Mission TX. It took some maneuvering to find an opening in the thick grass that nearly surrounded him/her. I was afraid that it would spook and fly away as I circled, but it just watched me carefully and sat there very cooperatively in nice early morning light.
