Jellyfish have no brain, heart, bones or eyes. They are made up of a smooth, bag-like body and tentacles armed with tiny, stinging cells. Jellyfish are plankton. This comes from the Greek word planktos, meaning to wander or drift. They are not strong swimmers, so they get tossed and turned around in the ocean currents. Jellyfish eat plankton. Some sea turtles eat jellyfish. Jellyfish are not fish. Large blooms can feature over 100000 jellyfish. They can sting and it hurts but very rarely serious.

La tarde no dejó una puesta de sol espectacular pero la brisa ofrecía una gran belleza de las olas rompiendo en las rocas de la playa.

Just as Haddon Hall was undisturbed for centuries, so the beautiful parkland that surrounds it was also left to nature, escaping landscaping, building or agriculture. Once the deer park for the Hall, created in 1330, these wild acres of open wood pasture, shady woodlands, wildflower meadows and river banks flourished and grew without the interference of man. This has resulted in an incredible mosaic of different ecosystems all offering a continuity of habitat for centuries and, perhaps unsurprisingly, is home to a huge variety of wildlife and plant life species, many of which are rare or endangered. The land is private and protected, and the wildlife that lives there has a safe haven in which to thrive.
