This was taken on a 35mm film refill which I bought in Moscow in 1977. It was more a souvenir than something I planned to use, but I thought it seemed appropriate to try it out in the Sigma Mark 1 camera that I took with me to the USSR over 40 years ago.
It is a black and white film rated at GOST 250, which according to the box equates to 250 ASA (ISO).
Such old film will inevitably have deteriorated, especially as it has been stored in a whole range of unsuitable places. Anticipating a loss of sensitivity, I shot it at ISO 50, and developed it in Rodinal 1:100 semi-stand for 1 hour. The negatives were very thin, but at least it wasn't a complete failure.
