First attempt at re-loading a Minox cassette. I made a film slitter using razor blades, to cut 35mm film down to 16mm (for use in the Minolta 16 and Kiev 30 cameras), the remaining usable width was 8mm wide, a little too narrow for the 9.5mm Minox film, but I thought I would try re-loading a cassette with this film, and if it worked, make another slitter for 9.5mm.This was taken with the Minox EC spy camera that I used in week 106 of my 52 film cameras in 52 weeks project:

The film is Kodachrome 64, from Wikipedia:
Kodachrome is a brand name for a non-substantive, color reversal film introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1935. It was one of the first successful color materials and was used for both cinematography and still photography. Because of its complex processing requirements, the film was sold process-paid in the United States until 1954 when a legal ruling prohibited this. Elsewhere, this arrangement continued. For many years it was used for professional color photography, especially for images intended for publication in print media. Because of the growth and popularity of alternative photographic materials, its complex processing requirements, and the widespread transition to digital photography, Kodachrome lost its market share, its manufacturing was discontinued in 2009 and its processing ended in December 2010.
The only way to process Kodachrome now is as a black and white film. I developed it in Rodinal, 1:100 for 60 minutes, the results are very contrasty, and probably over-exposed, but at least I was able to salvage something from this iconic and lamented emulsion.
This one was taken with the Helios 58mm lens. The over-exposure towards one edge of the frame is due to the vertical metal focal plane shutter not running smoothly, a common problem with older cameras of this type.

From a test roll of "Pink-O-Chrome" film from Six Gates Film of Milan. This is a slide duplication balanced for tungsten light and intended to be developed using the E6 process. It is quite slow, I rated it at ISO12 before processing it in the Tetenal C41 kit. The film has a clear base, and when wet has a very pink colour when viewed from one side, after drying it has a sepia hue, which when reversed in the scanning process gives a deep blue hue.
The camera is the Minolta Dynax-5 SLR camera that I first used in week 44 of my 52 film cameras in 52 weeks project:

Taken with the Kalimar Action Shot 16 in week 24 of my 52 film cameras in 52 weeks project:
52cameras.blogspot.com/ This camera takes 16 shots in 2 seconds and uses a double width 35mm frame, and was originally marketed to golfers so they could analyse their swing. It can also take the pictures one at a time, making it possible to create collaged images.
