In 2021 I intend to use a different film format each month, staring with the smallest and working my way up the sizes. In January I used the Minox format and in February I used the obsolete Disc Film format. For March I'm using 16mm film, I have three working 16mm film cameras, they each make slightly different sized images on the negative. I started off with the Meopta Mikroma but the wind on mechanism stopped working, so I moved the film to a Minolta 16. The film is Kodak Portra 160, processed in the Tetenal C41 kit.

Taken with a Boots Disc 515 camera on Fotoman film which expired in 1987. I made a set of simple filters using layers of coloured acetate. There are four different coloured acetates, each of my filters consisted of three layers in various combinations. Old film loses light sensitivity, and with the additional light loss caused by the filters, I pointed my camera directly at the sun in order to make sure enough light got to the film. This was entirely experimental, and I'm quite pleased with the results. This is a scan of the whole disc.

This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for November is Polaroid SX-70, which has a slightly larger image area than last month's 6x9cm 120 format.
This was taken with a Polaroid 1000 camera (known as Polaroid Onestep in the US), it uses SX-70 film, which is once more available, having been revived by The Impossible Project a few years ago.

This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for September is 127 roll film which was introduced in 1912. Narrower than 120 film, it allowed for smaller more pocketable cameras to be made, perhaps most famously the Kodak VP (Vest Pocket) also known as the soldiers' camera because many of them were used during the First World War (1914-18). Today only a small number of films are available in 127, but it could have been worse, ten years ago it looked as if the format was finished forever.
This was taken with an Ihagee Parvola camera which was made in Germany in the early 1930s.
The film is Rollei Nightbird redscale film, which I re-rolled to revert it to "normal" film. Developed in the Tetenal C41 kit.

This year I'm using a different film format each month, starting with the smallest and working my way up through the sizes. The format for June APS (Advanced Photo System) which was introduced in 1996. It was a short lived format, as soon after it was launched digital cameras started to become more affordable, and the non-technically minded snap shooter, for whom the APS system was ideal, soon switched to digital. The film is no longer made, but expired stock can be found online. This was taken with a Nikon Pronea-S camera using Konica Centuria ISO 200 film, which expired in 2003. Developed in the Tetenal C41 kit.
