A few hours on the beach in the company of a couple of fellow photographers was thoroughly enjoyable. Their wonderful work can be seen at....

I met two young photographers while down at Porth Nanven last week. They have put a large amount of time and effort into a location finding website aimed at photographers. It's a superb idea so please kindly support them by visiting them at www.mapmyphoto.co.uk/
Thanks hugely for all the really nice and very welcome comments on my last posted pic. They are greatly appreciated.
Whoops!...just noticed I forgot to apply the lens distortion tool during processing, so sorry about the curved horizon.

A bit of overfiltering (if that's the correct term!) has darkened the cliffs a fair bit but I like the effect so I've posted the image anyway.
The trip to Porthcurno last night with Joe Rainbow turned out to be a very wet one as we got caught out by incoming waves on more than one occasion. I must get some sensible wellies like Joe's. Anyone want some knackered trainers?

Continuing Canon 5D saga....someone told me to try a new battery and CF card before sending it back to Canon, so I did at much expense. This trick appeared to work and the camera functioned perfectly for a few hours untill....well you can guess the rest! So it's now, yet again, on it's merry way back to the Canon repair centre.
Although my 1D mark IV is good, it's not a patch on the 5D for landscape photography, the work that has gone into the above shot is twice as much as I usually have to do with a 5D image. But on the other side of the coin the 5D is awful at fast nature photography....horses for courses as they say!
