Godrevy is near Hayle in West Cornwall. Lovely spot but a bit dangerous walking back over the rocks from this particular viewpoint in the dark!
I need to sort out the lighthouse, it's doesn't really lean like that!

Yesterday's storm was the best yet (if 'best' is the right word!) This image of Penzance harbour was taken a couple of hours before the storm arrived. High tide was a still a few hours away when this image was taken but the high onshore winds were pushing the sea in early. Immediately the othe side of the harbour wall is the traffic entrance to the harbour and later on these waves were flooding the roads from over the wall. I drove around Marazion, Penzance and Newlyn during the height of the storm, Marazion sea front got hit very hard, few photos were taken as the rain and 70mph winds made getting out of the car extremely difficult. I did take quite a few images from inside the car at the devastation so I have a record of the event.
Today is sunny, clear and relatively calm, it's all as though nothing happened!
