From what I gather on the internet, this place was originally Big Top Liquor. It closed and the sign fell into disrepair. A local animation studio moved into the property in 2011 and helped restore it, and the "Hi Fi" in the sign signifies "Historic Filipinotown," the area in which it resides. I applaud them for caring for this very unique sign!
