The horses at the Timonium Racetrack are about as fast as the speed of light. After my horse lost, I went back to the Fairgrounds and enjoyed a big BBQ sandwich and funnel cake, so all was not lost!

It has been bitter cold in my neck of the woods for the past few weeks. Much of the snow has melted, but there is still some around. I took this wintery shot during a previous snowstorm, but it feels like the snow is still all around us.

During the Light City event in Baltimore, Maryland, there were artistic light displays all around the city. There were also live bands, special food, and a small parade!

The Swing Carousel, also known as the Wave Swing, at the Maryland State Fair is always fun to ride and to photography.
"The Chair-O-Planes premiered in Germany in 1972, designed by Zierer and built by Franz Schwarzkopf. In 1974 the first portable unit debuted under the same partnership. This type of swings ride was present at even the earliest amusement parks. At Idora Park in Oakland, California, in 1908, the ride was called Flying Swing, but appears to be the same principle."
