The Arctic Cathedral stand out against the snow covered winter mountains in Tromsdalen, just across the river from Tromso, Norway. I caught this shot in the couple hours of daylight this time of year (sunrise at around 11:30 a. m. and sunset at around 1:20 p.m.). Tromso is a little over 200 miles inside the Arctic Circle and it definitely feels like the Arctic!

Tromso, Norway, also known as the Paris of the North, is full of beautiful buildings. The surrounding snowy mountains make it even more beautiful. The sun is not up very long this time of year, so I've been taking a lot of night shots!

The Northern Lights (also known as the Aurora) in Tromvik, close to Tromso, Norway, are absolutely stunning. I went shooting with with Kjetil Skogli, the Aurora Chaser and professional photographer, when I caught this shot last week.
